29 July marked the end of Emerge ’12. What a life-changing event this is. I was 16 and didn’t really have a direction in life until I attended my first Emerge conference back in 2005 and subsequently joined POS (Parade of Schools) in 2006.

Young people do not need to fall into the stereotype of teens wasting their time and life away. Young people can also be lovers and pursuers of God, world shakers and history makers. Young people can also be assets to society.

Today I stand in awe of the number of lives Emerge has impacted as I see so many of my peeps who I grew up with in church – performing on stage and doing great exploits for God and society, and I know that many more 16 year olds present were also impacted and will do greater works than our generation.

A life lived for God is a life worth living and what better way to do so than to start from our youth?

I thank God for Emerge and Pastor Kong for bringing it to pass. πŸ™‚
