Joyfully

The time now reads 6 am as I am writing this blog entry. Hahas! I had a dream last night and in it, I was praising and worshipping in an apartment with SOT team 23! And during praise time, I saw Jeon praising God while washing the plates! So random and funny!! Woke up with a joyful heart and seeked God. Thankful over the arcade session I’ve spent with my family yesterday afternoon, glad that I was able to listen to another of Pastor Kong’s preaching, happy over the fervency of my members Guanlin and Zhiyang for the Word who set aside time for bible study after service. elated that Zhiyang even went through two bible studies at one time! That would mean he has heard 3 sermons in one day! Like machiam Bible School student already! Really thankful to God for many things and everything.

Indeed Happiness is born, and it is God’s will for us in our lives! As quoted from my beloved pastor Kong Hee.

As someone who didn’t come from the best of backgrounds nor had the best childhood, I remembered days when I would ’emo’ by myself. Even after coming to church, I remember the times when I keep to myself and just think of destructive and condemning thoughts about myself. Sometimes I think I am just depressed, for no reason even!

But I am glad to say that by the grace of God I am well past that stage! In fact, it sounds weird now, sometimes I am happy for no reason..! Haha! And let me tell you today that is God’s will for us, to be happy! Bible says in Psalms 144:15, Happy are the people who are in such a state;Happy are the people whose God is the LORD!

God wants us all to be happy and make merry! Let me tell you today that God wants to give you a joy that nothing in this world can give, a peace that surpasses all understanding.

If you’re feeling rather downcast, there’s hope. Even the heroes of faith had down moments in their lives. You gotta lift up your eyes, thank God for everything He has done in your life and praise God. There will always be something for you to thank God for! How about the air that you breathe? How about a house to sleep in? And when you mix your thanksgiving with praise, God births forth an Isaac (Isaac means Laughter!!) in your life! Make a decision to lift up your eyes above your natural circumstance, make a decision to rejoice, give thanks to the Lord and praise Him to the best of your ability. Now watch as God pours forth His joy into your life. 🙂

John 14:18
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Habakkuk 3:18
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Romans 5:11
And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Philippians 3:1
[ All for Christ ] Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord.

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
